Letter, 1927 Apr. 2.

Blanche describes to an unnamed correspondent his visit to Jules Alexandre Grün in Neuilly. He has seen the painting by José de Ribera and praises his art, but agrees with [Emile] Bernard that the central figure, Bacchus, has been repainted. Blanche was impressed by Grün, his art collection, his successful artistic career, and his hospitality. He hopes that his correspondent will come soon to see the few valuable paintings left from his once large collection, especially the two Manets, and the remarkable "Filature de Beauvais" by Corot.
